Twitter now has more than 200 million monthly active users

Back in 2006, the world encountered the first tweet and years passed by, now Twitter has more than 200 Million monthly active users according to the tweet from the Official Twitter account. Twitter had previously 100 Million monthly active users last September that rose to 140 million back in March 2012 and has quickly crossed 200 million.

Twitter’s growth has subsequently increased by a greater amount and has surpassed LinkedIn and Google+, however lags behind Facebook who stays on top with more than 1 Billion active users. With more than 340 million tweets daily, Twitter is one of the top social networking sites and has the highest social impact on people.
